Atif Aslam's version of the old great "Chalte" for the up and coming Bollywood film Mitron did not get the sort of thankfulness from Lata Mageshkar, who initially sung the tune for the notorious film Pakeeza, which the vocalist may have been seeking after. Tanishk Bagchi was behind the music and verses for this cover adaptation. The music for the first tune was given by Ghulam Mohammed antheverses were composed by Kaifi Azmi.
Pink Villa detailed that when Lata Mangeshkar was requested to remark on this version, she commented.
"I would prefer not to hear it. This pattern of remixing old melodies disheartens me. Where is the imagination in essentially lifting recognized, darling works of art and rearranging the notes around? I've even heard that the verses are changed in the remixes. By whose assent?"
She additionally stated, "The first artists and writers composed what they needed to. No one has the privilege to mess with the inventiveness of these incredible writers and lyricists." We are thinking about whether Atif Aslam will answer to this feedback!
